Description

Eagles Nest Lodge is a welcome addition to the fairly limited budget accommodation options in Nyungwe Forest National Park. With the exception of Gisakura Guest House, budget travellers have very few options in the Nyungwe Forest National Park when they are here for chimpanzee tracking, canopy walk, colobus monkey treks or any other primate tracking in beautiful Nyungwe Forest.

Eagles Nest Lodge is located in Gisakura on the edges of Nyungwe Forest, pretty close to the much more famous Gisakura Guest House. Eagles Nest Lodge is thus a very convenient budget accommodation option for visitors to Nyungwe who are here for primates tracking. The lodge is within walking distance from Gisakura Guest House and the receptionist at Gisakura will usually kindly direct you to Eagles Nest Lodge.

Eagle Nest Lodge offers single rooms, double rooms and twin rooms at very pocket friendly prices of US$50 for single rooms and US$70 for double/twin rooms both inclusive of breakfast.

The accommodation is fairly functional and not for those seeking a bit of luxury in Nyungwe. For luxury travel clients we recommend the upmarket Nyungwe Forest Lodge or the mid-range Nyungwe Top Hill View Hotel.

The rooms are ensuite and the lodge has a restaurant that serves hot meals at very reasonable prices. The lodge will gladly prepare a lunch box for clients going chimp tracking early in the morning.
