One&Only Gorilla’s Nest is situated right on the outskirts of Volcanoes National Park home to the rare endangered mountain gorillas. One & Only Gorilla's Nest is set in the middle of mature 60ft eucalyptus trees and blends in perfectly with the natural environment of Northern Rwanda and Volcanoes National Park.

One&Only Gorilla’s Nest boasts of an ecosystem that connects the resort with the local areas of Kinigi, Ruhengeri and Musanze. One & Only Gorilla's Nest mostly employs locals from the area and the lodge was constructed majorly using locally soyrced building materials. The lodge staff regularly interact with the locals in the area as well as making regular visitts and donations to local schools. One & Only Gorilla's Nest guests are also able to purchase Imigongo art from local artisans.

The restaurant and chefs at The One & Only Gorilla's Nest serve dishes that are an integral part of our rich eco-conscious cycle. Our locally grown coffee is grown organically without use of pesticides and our chefs ensure any unused ingredients are returned to Musanze where they are used to make fertilizers to grow produce which is then sold back to the One&Only Gorilla’s Nest restaurant team.

One & Only Gorilla's Nest Lodge is in very close proximity to the Parc National des Volcans. Gorilla's Nest Lodge has been built under trees with the rooms set around an African style courtyard.
The gorilla permit to see the mountain gorillas in their natural habitat in Volcanoes National Park, not only gives you a rare encounter with these gentle giants but also contributes to both the local environment and national Rwanda initiatives.

The rooms are large,each with en-suite facilities. There is a big restaurant with a bar an African safari style reception area.

Gorilla's Nest Lodge is very close to the National Park;less than a 25 minute's drive to the Volcanoes National Park where gorilla trekking begins. On a clear day the views across to Sabyinyo volcanoes are to die for. The rooms all face the Eucalyptus forest, and the spectacular scenery of volcanoes.
Nearby is a traditional Rwandese homestead for visitors to visit in their leisure time or after Gorilla trekking.
