This is a short Rwanda vacation that focuses primarily on tracking gorillas in Rwanda and visiting Lake Kivu Rwanda's most beautiful lake for a relaxing holiday. The gorilla tour package immerses us first in what brings most people to Rwanda; mountain gorilla trekking. While in Volcanoes in national park for gorilla treks, you may also track the golden monkeys, hike a volcano or trace Dian Fossey's lifestyle by joining a Dian Fossey hike to her grave. You may alternatively spice us your Rwanda gorilla tour by going on a guuded nature walk through the forest or by visiting Ibyiwacu cultural village to participate in an Intore Dance and learning first hand the conservation efforts being spearheaded by local Rwandans.

After gorilla trekking the tour package then takes us to the resort side town of Gisenyi before we return to Kigali where you may embark on a 3hrs Kigali city tour prior to your catching the flight to your next safari holiday destination.

Tour vacation Day 1-
Met by your tour driver guide at Kigali airport on arrival. Briefing on your safari. After lunch, depart for Parc National des Volcans. The journey north goes through the beautiful terraced hillsides that characterise much of Rwanda’s landscape, gradually climbing to the base of the awesome Virunga volcanoes, sometimes with as many as five peaks visible. Tour vacation Day 2-
Go gorilla tracking in Parc National des Volcans. Tracking the gorillas through the light mountain forest on the slopes of the Virungas is a magical experience. When you get to the gorillas, spend an hour with them, and be back at the base in time for a late lunch! Some gorilla families however are more elusive, and tracking can take a full day, especially when it is wet and muddy. Afternoon at leisure in the Virunga area with your driver. Options include visiting a local market, or visit a local school, community projects or drive to the twin Lakes of Bulera and Ruhondo. Later in the evening transfer to Lake Kivu

Tour vacation Day 3-
After breakfast, have a boat ride on Lake Kivu(not included in quote), and relax on the shores of Lake Kivu. After lunch leisurely drive back to Kigali.

Tour vacation Day 4-
After breakfast, do the Kigali city tour time permitting, prior to transfer to the airport for your departure flight.
