Day 1: Kigali

• Evening presentation on general development concepts and an introduction to the tour program

Day 2: Kigali
• Introduction to the services of CBS, the public support center for SMEs
• Visit to KIST client
• Meeting with professors and students at the Center for Entrepreneurship Development (School of Finance and Banking)
• Evening presentation by a Prof Shyaka on the political arena and Good governess with democratic processes
• Overnight at Rwanda Hostel or luxury Hotel
Day 3: Kigali – Bugesera – Kigali
• Excursion to the Rwandan Millennium Village in Bugesera to learn about holistic development interventions
• Visit both Nyamata and Ntarama genocide sites
• Testimonies from reconciliation village where survivors and perpetrators leave together.
• Final discussions at kahna zana restrant over dinner
• Overnight at Rwanda Hostel or luxury hotel
Day 4: : Kigali
• Visit to the Kigali Memorial Center, tour and introduction to reconciliation measures (NURC)
• Visit to the Ministry of Defense for an introduction to Rwanda's current security challenges
• Networking cocktail with invited guests from a range of institutions and organizations
• Overnight at Rwanda Hostel or luxury Hotel
Day 5: visit to Murambi genocide memorial in
• southern province
• Lean bout genocide in Murambi and how people from the south thought nobody can touch them until it was too late.
• Lunch in Huye, after lunch visit to Rwanda National Museums
• Drive back to Kigali, Dinner and overnight at Rwanda Hostel or luxury hotel.
Day 6: Gisenyi
• Presentation on the plight of the Batwa in Rwanda and visit to a community to learn about pottery and dance
• Leisure time at the beach or pool
• Evening presentation on the success of high quality community-based tourism in Rwanda
• Overnight at Lake Kivu Serena Hotel or Paradis Malahide
Day 7: Gisenyi
• Boat excursion on the lake to learn about coffee, Rwanda's number one export product
• Leisure time at the beach or pool
• Evening presentation by a representative of the Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund International on gorilla conservation
• Overnight at Lake Kivu Serena Hotel or Paradis Malahide
Day 8: Gisenyi – Volcanoes National Park – Kigali
• Gorilla trekking or Golden monkeys in Volcanoes National Park
• Transfer to Kigali
• Overnight at Rwanda Hostel or luxury Hotel
Day 9: Kigali
• Optional visits to crafts markets for souvenir shopping and, possibly, further social projects (depending on time)
• Transfer to the airport and farewell
