We have available extended 4x4 Land cruisers available from both Arusha and Dar es Salaam for your safari in Tanzania.

If the safari car is required for rental out of Dar es Salaam, it would be dispatched from our Arusha base at a small fee which could be waived depending on number of rental days.
We usually prefer that our rather expensive extended 4x4 Land cruisers come with our driver for your Tanzania self drive tour.

The added benefit of having a driver come along for the trip, is the local knowledge that the driver brings to the table hence adding travel journey to your Tanzania safari. Our drivers also know our 4x4 vehicles very well and would be able to fix any minor repairs without necessitating waiting for a mechanic to come from Arusha.

Some clients take along a cook, so that they can focus on snapping away at the teeming wildlife in Serengeti, Ngorogoro, Selous, Ruaha etc. This essentially remains a self drive , self guided safari, as there is no scheduled bookings. You tell the driver where you want to go, and how long you wish to stay there. We encourage our drivers to be as non-intrusive as possible so that the safari feels very self drive with the advantage of someone taking to the wheels as you gaze at the lions, giraffes, leopards etc.

In some cases you may go behind the wheel if getting an adrenalin pumping experience of driving while on Safari to Africa is your thing.

The Land Cruisers 4x4s come with pop up roof for easy game viewing, and can be hire with camping equipment if you are on a self drive camping safari holiday in Tanzania.
