Project excursions & tours in Rwanda - From crop to cup
The ‘From crop to cup’ experience is a safari tour run by our partners NDA Rwanda and combines the splendid scenery of Lake Kivu with an educational visit where tour participants learn about the entire coffee growing and harvesting process.

Participants on the coffee tasting tour and visitors experience first hand about the whole coffee production chain.

Guest pick their own coffee cherries from the coffee plantation and follow them through the entire coffee washing and processing chain. At the end of this exciting visit, clients enjoy a cup of hand-ground and traditionally roasted Rwanda great coffee together with their local hosts.

Number of direct beneficiaries: ca. 350 cooperative members
Number of indirect beneficiaries: ca. 2,000 dependants
Community percentage of profit sharing: at least 70%
Material community benefits: 11 rotating income-generating opportunities, community development fund, sale of coffee.

Prices exclude the boat transport and the lunch
Variations: special tailor-made tour packages from Kigali, start or end of tour in Kibuye, volunteering on a coffee plantation, other lake based activities including fishing, more tourists' activities in the Gisenyi area
