Description

Closest offshore resort to Kampala and set amongst 10 acres of unspoilt natural beauty, lagoon resort is only 25 minutes, with our 28ft handmade boat, from our official mainland landing point in Munyonyo Kampala.

The resort is in the middle area of a large bay, giving visitors a wonderful view of Lake Victoria, as well as making the resort home to a great many birds, and some cheeky monkeys too.

We truly believe that a visit to Lagoon Resort will make you feel a million miles away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life-perfect relaxation hideaway.

Guests staying at the African Village can enjoy a free boat service to bring them to the resort and a free return trip to the mainland at the end of their stay.

Sport Fishing
Guests have several options when it comes to fishing. You can try your luck from our 40 metre jetty or hire one of our motorboats and try your luck out on Lake Victoria.
Fishing half day (07.00-13.00) with the motorboat including fishing equipment $ 115 per person.

Village and Community Walk
Take an enjoyable 3 to 4 hours walk arround the local community you'll see some amazing sights including rare species of trees and fauna as well as villages.

Bird Watching
The resort has a great many different birds including Hornbills, Kingfishers and even parrots.
Mountain Biking
OK. We don't have a mountain but you can explore the surrounding areas where you can see local villages, a vanilla farm, an orange tree orchard and for the very adventurous, a tea plantation some 12km away.
(Mountain bikes for hire $ 15 half day.)

Boat Rides
Take a trip on the lake and see the nearby islands and beaches, including Paradise beach, home of the former Idi Amin.

Swimming
Have a swim in Lake Victoria from our white sand beach.
Garden
Enjoy a stroll, a drink or a bite to eat in our beautiful landscaped garden.

Sunset Platform
Enjoy a sundowner drink from our woodland sunset platform with stunning views of Lake Victoria.

Sunset Boat Cruise
Enjoy a cocktail or cool drink as we gently cruise on Lake Victoria around the Lagoon Resort bay as the sun sets. A great way to finish the day.
