Heritage Safari Lodge is owned by a proud local son of the Acholi land William Olwoch. The Lodge has a well-established relationship with the locals who supplied the raw materials used to build and setup the Lodge.

The Safari Lodge is located 100km on the Karuma – Arua road, 270km on Kampala – Gulu highway and 370km Kampala City centre. It’s built on the great North-South elephant corridor that brought the Luo ethnic group, the missionaries and the early explorers in their quest for the source of the Nile.
The Lodge is easy to reach for the Park activities which include the game drives since its only 5 minutes’ drive from the Murchison Falls National Park. It’s a great location for tourists doing safaris in the park to stay.
Heritage Lodge accommodation comprises of standard cottages, comfortable Luxury cottages and safari tents.
The cottages’ design allows exclusive furnishing and finishing that suits the different guests’ requirements and needs. There En-suite bathrooms in the Luxury cottages and shared bathrooms in the standard. The cottages offer guests a great view of the eastern side, with a beautiful morning sunrise and on southern side the hot spring flowing into River Nile. The whole ambience surrounding the cottages is welcoming and homely.
The accommodation also offers amazing views of the surrounding green savannah and the Albert Nile. Sometimes one can see herds of Elephants and schools of hippopotamus. The open plan lounges are ideally suited for drinks, gourmet cuisine, evening interaction and the staging of traditional dance gala.
Heritage Safari Lodge has an ambience of Traditional Acholi designs and artefacts with a touch of an African feeling.
