Ishasha Wilderness Camp is located inside the Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park on the Ntungwe river. Ishasha Wilderness Camp is an idyllic safari camp and hideaway for visitors to Queen Elizabeth Park who truly enjoy the wilderness, peace, tranquility and serenity in the wild.
Ishasha Wilderness Camp is the only luxury camp in the Ishasha sector,allowing guests to enjoy their game viewing without the madness of many touristy vehicles and people, often experienced in other sectors of Queen Elizabeth National Park.

On a clear day when at Ishasha Wilderness Camp one can see the Virunga Volcanoes to the South, and the Rwenzori Mountains of the moon to the North! With only 10 tents at Ishasha Wilderness Camp guests are able to enjoy the feeling of exclusivity and privacy in pristine surroundings.

Each spacious tent at Ishasha Wilderness Camp overlooks the beautiful Ntungwe River. Each of the rooms has two large beds, private secluded verandahs and has its own en suite bathroom and dressing area. The tents are equipped with hot water bush showers and an eco-friendly flush toilet. Power is provided by solar energy making Ishasha Wilderness Camp an ecofriendly safari lodge intune with climate change awareness that mimises its carbon footprint.

A central dining area at Ishasha Camp, also under canvas, provides a perfect setting for breakfast, bush lunches and cancdlelit dinners at the lodge. The outdoor lounge area beside the river, and evening “fireplace” venue for guests, completes the unique bush experience offered at Ishasha Wilderness camp.

Due to the location of Ishasha Wilderness camp, guests are unlikely to encounter many other people during your game drives giving a feeling of ‘owning’ the park! From Ishasha you may: enjoy game drives either in your safari vehicle, or for fly-in guests on our open vehicle, or you may explore the camp on foot and do some bird-watching.
