Description
Mazike Valley Lodge found 370kms from the city centre on the Eastern side of Queen Elizabeth National Park in Kyambura Gorge in South western Uganda. “Mazike†is a Luganda word which means Apes. The Lodge is built by the fence of the park. The Kyambura Gorge surrounding environment is a very rich tropical forestry.
The Lodge is which is former Kyambura Game Lodge has spectacular views. The lavishing cottages which has been newly restored and refurbished also have impressive views of the Kazinga channel, Maramagambo Forest and Queen Elizabeth National Park at large.
There are eight cottages secluded with privacy and amazing views of the Maramagambo forest. Each cottage has been elegantly designed in an original safari theme with locally outsourced materials. They were roofed with banana fibre and papyrus reeds to keep the cottages cool during the hot days. The eight cottages are spread out, 4 cottages on every side of the main guest house and swimming pool. There are 3 doubles, 5 twins and in each there is room for an extra bed for an extra person in the room or child.
In each there a king size bed or twin beds, and in the en-suite bathrooms there is a washbasin, a bathtub, a flashing toilet and a shower. There is a solar system that supplies warm water in the rooms.
The Kyambura Gorge a habitat for a variety of birds, animals but mostly to a huge number of primates and sometimes these can be seen by the guests. Some of the primates include chimps, baboons, white and black Colubus, red-tailed and vervet monkeys.
