Murchison River Lodge is a family owned Safari Lodge set on the southern bank of River Nile, with a huge number of hippos surrounding the area in Murchison Falls National Park. The Lodge offers mid-range accommodation option in Murchison Falls National Park but with class and luxurious setting. The Lodge is suitable for different kinds of guests, for families, groups, honeymooners and single guests.
Murchison Falls National Park is a very big National park and with several diverse habitat wildlife and birdlife with so many activities to offer. Some of the activities include game drives, Launch cruise on the river, chimp tracking, fishing, nature walks, hiking to the top of the falls and falls viewing.
The Lodge has beautiful en-suite thatched cottages, thatched en-suite safari tents and luxury camping tents set in a shaded campsite. For those who prefer to bring their own camping gear have a camping site as well, can self-cater, good shower and toilet facilities have also been set up for them.
The thatched cottages are open plan with big balconies overlooking the bush, they are comfortable and luxurious with modern eye-catching furnishing. They are en-suite furnished with double beds and two single beds on a mezzanine floor upstairs. The cottages are also furnished with sofas, table and a hammock for guests to enjoy.
The thatched tents are set on the ground level in the busy area, 3 of them set near the water. They are all furnished with twin beds, some have space for a third bed or a baby cot if required. The outside is furnished with safari chairs and table.
The luxury camping tents also have twin beds with mosquito nets and solar lights
The main lodge which is set on a raised with the restaurant and bar commanding brilliant views of Murchison Falls National Park and River Nile. The cottages and shaded campsite are set within the bushy area, and the thatched safari tents are set near the water sometimes woken up of hippos sound.
The meals are prepared with solar. The guests can also enjoy the swimming pool and relax after a long day of safari.
