GORILLAS IN THE MIST TOUR
Gorilla safari holiday Uganda, trek mountain gorillas, short gorilla tours Uganda, short gorilla trip Uganda, gorilla vacation package Uganda.
This is a short 5 days Uganda gorilla safari holiday that is designed for visitors to Uganda who would wish to trek the mountain gorillas of Virunga on the Uganda side of Bwindi Forest.

Participants of the gorilla vacation package also get a chance to relax on the shores of Lake Bunyonyi after their memorable adventure of tracking the mountain gorillas.

The gorilla tour package later retraces its route back through Lake Mburo and later to Kampala where the tour package ends with a connecting flight at Entebbe airport to your next destination. The safari holiday package can be combined with a trip to Kidepo or with tracking chimps in Kibale, or with some of our popular Uganda vacation packages to visit Queen Elizabeth National park for boat cruises along the Kazinga Channel of Lake Edward or a boat cruise along the Nile in Murchison Falls park for game viewings as the animals come to the banks to drink. Alternatively the 5 days Uganda tour package can proceed to Rwanda Via Volcanoes National park for an exploration of what Rwanda has to offer as an upcoming travel destination. For visitors with deeper travel budget you may get a chance to trek the mountain gorillas for a second time in Volcanoes National Park-Rwanda.

Tour package Day 1: Travel time 6 hours.
On arrival to Entebbe airport you will be received by your professional English speaking tour driver guide. You will be thoroughly briefed about your safari holiday package before setting off by road to Mbarara which is a 4 hours drive from Kampala on very good tar roads. You would have a chance to stop at the equator crossing at Kayabwe in Nkozi for taking of photos and purchase of crafts and local drums. We drive past Masaka and through the beautiful flat plains of Lake Mburo National Park, prior to checking into our hotel for overnight in Mbarara.
Dinner and overnight at Regency Lakeview Hotel. Meal Plan - Lunch and Dinner.

Tour package Day 2: Travel time 5 hours.
After breakfast the tour package departs from Mbarara for the mountain gorilla natural habitat of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. We arrive at your safari lodge in time for lunch on the balcony of the beautiful safari lodge at either Chameleon Hill Lodge or Nkuringo Gorilla Camp. After lunch participants of the tour safari package can take guided nature walks around the lodge and in the area along the beautiful Lake Mutanda. You may have a boat ride on the lake plus a walking safari which is organised by Nkuringo walking safaris, before returning to the lodge to prepare for the next day's gorilla trekking expeditions over a camp fire.

Tour package Day 3: 30 MINUTES TO 8 HOURS TREKKING- STRENUOUS ACTIVITY!!!.
Early morning breakfast and thereafter you will be transferred by your tour driver guide to the base of the mountains for a pre gorilla trekking briefing and allocation of gorilla family group. You will later proceed through thick mountain forest in search of the mountain gorillas led by experiences trackers and guides whose have dedicated their lives to leading mountain gorilla trekking visitors to the spots where gorillas are through years of training.
. After finding the gorillas you will have your pre-packed picnic lunch and then descend down the thick rainforest of Bwindi Impenetrable to return to the gorillas trekking base where your tour driver guide will be waiting to drive you back to the lodge for dinner and overnight

Tour package Day 4: Travel time 3 hours.
After breakfast we sadly have to leave gorilla territory Bwindi for the relaxed shores of the serene Lake Bunyonyi perhaps the deepest crater lake in Africa. We check into Bird's Nest or Feza cottages and later in the afternoon you have the chance of taking a boat ride to the islands within the Lake Bunyonyi. You may alternatively have a nature walk or guided cycling adventure around the island.

Tour package Day 5 .Travel time 6 hours.
After breakfast, the safari package leaves South Western Uganda and departs for Kampala. If you have an evening or night outbound flight to catch we shall head straight to the airport. If your flight is in the morning, we check into Boma Guest House for overnight.
